Obituary notice from the Columbus Dispatch newspaper:

Barbara Jo Schmidt Loudermilk of Gahanna, wife of Charles E. Loudermilk and daughter of James A. Sr. (deceased) and Jo Schmidt of Columbus, died at her home Friday, June 26, 1998.

She was born in Columbus on July 5, 1939 and attended Grandview High School. The creator of "Classic Illusions Ceramics," she produced and marketed her artistic creations for many years in the area and was for the past five years associated with the Columbus Torah Academy as their accountant.

She is survived by her Mother; her Husband; four children, Deborah Sue Wallace, Tina and husband, William Werts, all of Columbus, Charles E. and wife Daphne Loudermilk, Jr. of Mt. Vernon, Jamie Jo Loudermilk of Circleville, eight grandchildren, William, David and Steven Wallace, Joey and Arron Werts, all of Columbus, Lacey, Adam and Andy Loudermilk of Mt. Vernon; two great grandsons, Brandon Cole and Trevor Benjamin Wallace of Columbus; sister, Deborah and husband Ron Gutzwiller of Cincinnati; brothers James A. and wife, Martha Schmidt, Jr. and Jon David and wife, Dana Schmidt of Wenatchee, WA.

Memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday July 2, 1998 at Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 1235 Northwest Blvd with Rev Russell Crabtree officiating. Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rainbow Cancer Foundation, 229 Noe Bixby Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43213 in her memory. Arrangements by Schoedinger Gahanna Chapel.
